Pinellas County

Originally part of Hillsborough County, Pinellas County became a separate entity in 1912 and has continued to grow ever since. The area appeals to singles, couples, retirees and families, and more than 38,000 businesses call Pinellas County home.

For swimming, boating and fishing, you can’t beat Pinellas County’s 35 miles of powdery white beaches and nearly 588 miles of coastline. With an average of 261 days of sunny weather each year, residents can enjoy the surf, sun and sand just about any time. Three of the top 10 beaches in the nation are located here (Fort De Soto Park which has won many awards, Clearwater Beach and Caladesi Island State Park), making it a dream location for beach lovers.

St. Petersburg and the surrounding smaller ‘burbs have all the conveniences of big-city living with all the luxuries of living near or on the coast combined with the benefits of close-knit communities and excellent schools.

WHETHER YOU WANT GULF SIDE OR CITY SIDE, Pinellas County has an eclectic variety of towns and cities. It’s a diverse collection of tasty eats, environments and experiences on its own peninsula!
